Turning the Page: Allen wins Silver Cap (15/05/2008 00:55)

At the beginning of this season, there was discussion of transferring Allen Page to get a money windfall for the youngster who seemed to have an attractive value to both the seller and potential buyers. Today, Allen page was rewarded the Silver Cap for being the best performing 17 year old in International 5/62. This is the first individual award that has been awarded to a Dorchester FC player since the new management took over, despite a major winning streak that lasted nearly half a season last year. Page, when told of his award over the phone by manager T.K. Bomber, was happy to hear that he had won the award, but not surprised seeing as only one other 17 year old, Traeff FK midfielder Christian Nordahl, was in contention for the award.

Page had 5 goals on the year compared to Nordahl's 1 goal while playing four more games and had 4 assists to Nordahl's 5. The nearest 17 year old players to either Page or Nordahl had played fewer games then either player had assists for the year. We here have a feeling that both of these players will be making noise for their respective teams for seasons to come.
