This is my attempt at a weighted ladder to compare all sides from Australia. The formula used for the weighting is (1/Division)^2 x 4 x Value. The "x 4" means that the comparison division is Division Two ie A team with 55 points in their division would have a comparative point tally in Div 2 eg 55 pts in Div 1 = 220pts, Div 2 = 55pts, Div 3 = 24.44pts, Div 4 = 13.75pts, Div 5 = 8.8pts, Div 6= 6.11pts. The weighting between divisions is Div 1 = 300% > Div 2, Div 2 = 125% > Div 3, Div 3 = 77% > Div 4, Div 4 = 56.25% > Div 5, and Div 5 = 44% > Div 6. The weighting suggests the game gets harder as you progress up the divisions eg Div 1 is 36 times harder than Div 6, Div 2 is 9 times harder than Div 6, Div 3 is 4 times harder than Div 6, and Div 4 is 2.25 times harder than Div 6. If someone thinks they have a better weighting formula I'll be willing to use it as this is a rough one I just made up with a little bit of trial and error. It allows good performers in Div 6 to get near the top of the ladder and bad performers in Div 3 to be near the bottom of the ladder.
