Why I couldn (20/02/2010 09:33)

Why I couldn't buy Gary Neville

Now before Man Utd fans start screaming and shouting this is just an example of how I couldn't buy a player today because he was called Gary Neville. Now it would be the same for other players with these kind of names. For example I wouldn't imagine Tevez would be top of a Man Utd supporters list.

Its like betting on your own team to lose or your biggest rival to win, its just not right.  English League tips at Footytipster.

It came down to one question in the end. Would I rather get relegated or buy Gary Neville? The answer was simple.

How could I ever go to Anfield again knowing I had brought Gary Neville? Not a chance!!!

Now the question I asked myself is did I really consider buying him and the answer is NO. I was just intrigued by a persons perception of the players attributes. I mean he was a good player. Past it like he is in real life but still a top player on this game.  The stats made me think though and did make me appreciate that this was someones favourite player.

Who wouldn't want their favourite player captaining the team or scoring the goals. I was just gutted Gary Neville had to show up when I needed a defender. Also I come to the only question I could not answer. How does Gary Neville have overall quality of 95. Really?!!!

So this is my contribution to making the game a better place by asking people to use only world class players names that everyone wants to buy like Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and of course Deadly Dirk Kuyt. Ensuring only top stats go to top players.
