Answering the Bell (24/04/2008 23:03)
Many people around Dorchester wondered how would their team answer the challenge laid out by the board after their 0-2-2 start in the league. Was it a smart idea to threaten a team, with over half of its starters 22 years or younger, with transfers if the season continued on the way it was? Obviously the answer was yes, and even with a 4-game winning streak, including a league cup win, this team is still not satisfied. "We won how many games in a row last year?" asked team captain Alfredo Rodriguez. "We feel we can do that again as long as this team stays focused on its goal. We didn't have that focus so the board decided to beat it into us, and I'm glad they did."

Dorchester FC have won four games in a row, but none of those games have been against teams with better records then them. "We're glad to have won 4 games in a row," said midfielder Edgar Blackwell. "But we know to go anywhere in this league we can not go winless against the top 5-6 teams. We're not going to win every game against the relegation zone teams, so we need to create a buffer between us and them by beating the top teams." The next match-up against a top six team comes in four rounds at the MELCODROM where the Magpies are hosted by the Flying Snails who are 5-2-0 and in second place. They have scored 22 goals and only allowed 3 in the young season.
