Hello and welcome to a new blog of mine, as a follow-up on my last blog of October already...

I title this blog World Trip, because in 2 days time, which is Wednesday 20-2-2008, I -together with my girlfriend- will leave Holland for a year. We are going to New Zealand! :) We'll arrive Fridaymorning in Auckland, from which we will stay in a hostel for 2 nights...

After that, our plan is to travel around NZ and -by working for food and a bed-, stay with so-called WWOOFers. WWOOF is an organisation of biological farmers who give away a bed and food (temporarily ofcourse) to backpackers, in exchange of workservices. Mainly this will be weeding, composting, feeding animals, etc.
So far, it's a bit hard to arrange such stays, as we were a bit late with searching for the first spot ;)
However, if we not manage to find such WWOOFer in 4 days, we will stay a bit longer in the hostel, or either find ourselves some place to sleep at friendly NZers :)

The players of my team, FC Berber United, are a bit worried as I won't be able to coach them as often as they're used to... But hey, real pro's can manage, right? ;)
