As was mentioned in the Aussie Open thread, the Australian Open has moved past its origins of producing a surprise winner each season to becoming more predictable and it was the two sides who "win too much" who contested the final. In my defence my team doesn't win too much as I always lose in the final to Jake by four goals (as was the result again ) but the criticism was justified so I will endeavour to correct the situation next season

Grand Final
Wellington Phoenix FC 4 v. 0 Srennug Lanesra

In what was NOT a closely contested final, Jake The Muss was victorious again

The Wrap up: The season 29 iteration of the Aussie Open went off without any hitches and hopefully the managers involved enjoyed the opportunity to compete against other Aussie teams in a custom cup format. The total spectator count for the tournament was 951,650 (up from an average of 890,000 last season) with approximate takings of nearly $32 million (up $2 mill on last season) . The organisers wish to see you all come back to compete in the Aussie Open again next season. Once again, thanks to Jake for the donation of credits to keep this cup credit-free

Congratulations to the best of the Australian Managers for Season 29:

Jake The Muss

 Manager of Wellington Phoenix FC
