*** As posted in Omen ML Division ***

It is time to get the ML Division back into it's famous, active form.

To celebrate the first completed season with National Leagues, I will be giving away creds prizes for the following competition which I will talk about soon. I'll just say, the better you are, the more you will win

Competition: This competition is only available to those that can record themselves sorry guys, but what you gotta do is send a video of yourself doing as many keep-ups (kick-ups to some people) as you possibly can to cornish@omen-gaming.com. There will be 3 prizes:

Prize 1: Most keep-ups (kick-ups) - credit for every one achieved multiplied by 2.

Prize 2: Best balance with ball in air - 20 creds

Prize 3: 15 creds for person that kicks the ball the highest and carrying on after still

These credits will be my personal own collection, and none what-so-ever are funded by Omen. I hope you guys have lots of fun, and this competition will end August 30th. If there are no more than 10 entries, there could be a possibility that no prizes are given.

Thank you,
Cornish Dragons

So, as you can see, we are also going to try and promote ourselves.
If you are not a member of Omen, and would like to try out our credit-winning competitions or just like to participate in free weekend cups, or would just like to chat and have fun, www.omen-gaming.com is the place you have to sign up to. Once there and once signed up, either message MordaciousK or Cornish Dragons. We will happily let you into the private forums/division where you can do all of the above =)

Please comment your thoughts/opinions and if you need any help with something :)

UPDATE: PICTURES UNDER THE DOTTED LINE ARE NEW!

Yes that's right, my second blog is about the Padstow. Padstow is the very place I live in. It is a fairly small town with quite a reputation for an old fishing village in the south-west of Cornwall, surrounded by loads of lovely beaches.

Padstow is home to Prideaux Place. It is a 16th century manor house with extensive grounds and a deer park, open to the public.

It is also home to Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park, National Lobster Hatchery, a museum, the Padstow Parish Church and the very famous Rick Stein's Restuarant.

Now the part you have all been waiting for......the pictures! (Highlight the pictures for some great and fun information!)

The Amazing Eden Project! (16/09/2006 21:56)

NEXT BLOG: PADSTOW

Don't forget to check out my other blog: Padstow

UPDATE: PICTURES UNDER THE DOTTED LINE ARE NEW!

Yes that's right, my first blog is about the Eden Project. If you live in the UK, you might've heard of it. This great attraction is situated in Cornwall, which is in the the south-west of England. (Yes MissSpoons, that's right, Cornwall).

The reason I am blogging about this is I thought it would be a great idea. People always blog about where they've been on holiday and boast about the beautiful landscape there. Well, I can do the exact same thing, but from where I live.

Eden is a charity and is run as a not-for-profit educational trust. In the first four years the Millennium Commission Lottery funded Project attracted more than six million visitors (now more than seven million).

Eden retained its place amongst the top five paid-for visitor attractions with 1.25 million visitors for the 12 months ending 27 March 2005 – double the number anticipated before it opened.

Among the highlights of the year to March was the start of the construction of the unique and inspirational Education Centre, The Core, which opened in September. The report details the key impacts of the public education programmes aimed at all Eden’s visitors.  In addition, during the year there were more than 400 school visits involving 27,000 children in organised groups, and 45,000 visits from university and college students.

In the financial year ending 27 March 2005 the Eden Trust generated a significant operating surplus of £2.85 million. After charging net depreciation of some £3.75 million and net interest charges of £1 million, Eden reported net outgoing resources of £1.96 million, a significant improvement on last year’s outflow of £4.2 million.

So as you can hopefully see, it is very successful. Now to say what it is about. The Eden Project raises money to bring plants from all over the world, from America to Africa, from Africa to Austrailia and so on. Below, you will see some of the extremely rare things they exhibit here. The Eden is also a very well established place for the environment. It shows things like huge robots, made out of things just like mobile phones and kettles.

Now the part you have all been waiting for......the pictures! (Highlight the pictures for some great and fun information!)

Here is a great view of the main biomes which the Eden has in store

A view from the humid biome

Well that's all the pictures for now, but if enough people ask I will definately get some more pictures up.

Just to let you know, the current works at Eden is the EXTREMELY DRY desert project, and the underground biome. The glass elevator there is also very cool which you have to go on :) And by the way, the biomes there are extremely hot, and there has to be taps and emergency exits there and everything because of the heat in the humid biome. It is actually that dangerous because the plants have to be in that environment.
