Season 38 Champions <--Back
picThe season is nearly over, and once again, there are managers to salute!
We have a new Champions League winner, and this time, the trophy is sent to France, even though he won the English League!
Not at all unlike Arsene Wenger, one could say...

The team has been in the English top division since season 30, and has nothing but top 6 results. (They won it this season, by the way!)
They have a Silver from the League Cup, but winning Champions League is by far the most fantastic achievement yet.

picAfter winning Group 5 in the group-stage, they went on to knock out Papillary Carcinoma, Manch United and SC Heerenveen, before it was time for the finals against DINAMO 13 from Romania. And with all due respect, the final was one with the aid of a nice portion of luck, in a match where Dinamo 13 quite possibly "should" have won. But that's how it is some times, and it's all down to making sure that ball finds the net more times that the opponent does. And they proved that playing a defensive longball, is a great recipe against a more aggressive play.

Congratulations to Milky Way ((TEAM: 11078)) , and the manager Sir Tran, on his formidable accomplishment!

Noteworthy information
* This season we had a brand new Champions League winner, Milky Way.
* This was also the first time he won the League Championship in England.

* In the Dutch League, the battle for the League Championship was decided in the very last round of the season, with The Evil Looking Clowns (sebas) leading the table, but drawing in the very last match, losing the title to SC Heerenveen on mere goals, with both teams ending on 79 points!

* In Poland, Bongo and his Lemons ended last, after being #1 or #2 for 5 seasons, leaving CzarneKoszule with the title for the second time.

* In Belgium, NikeNike has taken his last title, as he is moving to to the Norwegian League in the coming season-change.

* This season is also the last season where Argentina has only bot-teams in their top division. We wish the entire League good luck in establishing itself, and getting ready to enter Champions League.

* The following teams were able to take home The Double this season:
Skjoldar in Norway
Kvantumhuset IK in Sweden
Real Boludos in Spain
Petlan in Croatia
Gallipoli FC in Turkey
Reservoir Dogs in Denmark!

Massive congratulations to you for this achievement!

Have a nice week, and wish us luck with the season-change on the coming Thursday.

pictureDinamo 13 ...... maibe you should change the name to Dinamo 14

Only the home advantage or the "13" number can explain the C.L. Final result.
