This Thursday morning, Season 26 is over. The servers will go off line for a while, as all the programs handling a season-change goes into overdrive, and if all goes well we are back online some time in the afternoon. We have been surprised by the growth of the English League, and so next season we will see England getting another division, to make enough room for the English teams. We announced earlier that next season would not hold a lot of updates and news, as we were forced to work a lot on increasing the speed of the match simulation. And so we did. The exact amount of the optimization is difficult to measure on anything but the live system, so we will see how it goes. But, as always, we managed to get in some requested features, improvements and sections. Here they are: Main focus this season: Optimizing the simulator - The simulator, although fairly optimized, has been optimized again, for even better performance. - A few more optimizations have gone in on certain pages, which will reduce load and make the simulator able to work more undisturbed New Features - Transfer History has been added in the Team-menu and gives you a full list of all purchases and sales you have completed. - A players own transfer-history is now available on the player-info popup, where you will see where he has played at what time and how much he was sold for. Tweaks - You can no longer place more than (squad - 18) players out for sale - Any Open challenged that you try to accept but fails due to the challenger having injuries, is now canceled so it doesn't annoy people for a long time anymore. Fixes - Fixed the annoying problem when clicking on an irc-link containing a question-mark in combination with not being logged in. If you didn't understand that, never mind. - Fixed bugged links on the friendlies page when you search for teams and try to see their table or add them to your contact-list. - You can no longer SORT players on the team listing , it messed up the drag'n drop. So until I can find a better way of fixing it, I removed the sorting. - A LOT of translation-fixes Mobile version improvements (Point your phone towards mob.managerleague.com, NOT www.mob.managerleague.com or anything else, just mob.managerleague.com) - The Mobile pages have now been properly converted to UTF-8, to print all special characters as they should be. - A BUNCH of smaller improvements and fixes on the mobile-edition (Names will now be displayed like F.Lastname, or D.Beckham where possible, you can no longer accept an open challenge from yourself, cleaned up the pages to load faster etc etc) - You can now browse the tables in the mobile version. - You can now place a bid on a player on the mobile version. - When listing another team on the mobile version, you will now see who is for sale or not. - You can now join custom cups through the mobile interface - You can now follow custom cups fixtures and results through the mobile interface - More languages have been added to the front page of the mobile version. Improvements only half-finished - The portal is undergoing preparations to make it translatable and available in several languages. There wasn't time to complete this now, so hopefully we will see some action on this next season. We hope we live up to our own standards and prove that we strive to become better every single season. What now? We are approaching the place in time where we will need more league soon enough. Both Belgium and The Netherlands are close to getting their own league, as are Denmark and a few other countries. So even if there are no new leagues in Season 27, expect some new ones in the season after that, provided we keep growing as we do now. But as we have announced earlier, we will now start working on implementing our equivalent of Champions League and UEFA-Cup, although they might not be completely identical. We are also working on getting our User Manual translated, and hope to be able to finish that by the end of Season 27. That's the idea anyway
