![]() Once again, we are getting close to a season-change. And, as always, a new season promises new additions, changes and fixes. After last seasons drastic change into National Leagues, the changes are a bit less drastic this time. There are a few very important ones though, so please make sure you familierize yourself with the changes listed below. Some of the changes need a bit more explanation, and I will provide that under each such point below. New features / Additions - Added names for players from Iceland + Iceland as a selectable country - Changed names for players from Spain - Added names for players from Colombia + Colombia as a selectable country - Added link to your table from the heard Div/Dep info. (The position is visible when your mouse hovers over it) - New player-comparison popup implemented on Team Selection and Transfer-Search pages. Requires JavaScript of course. (And you can safely allow popups from managerleague.com if you are using a popup-blocker!) This is meant as a handy tool to compare two players, if you are having a hard time deciding between them. Just mark two checkboxes, and compare them. - List of Open Challenges now shows the League of the challenger. - You can now delete your team-history (and trophies) This was implemented by request from a number of teams who would like to delete the history of their team from the time when they were not in control of it. - Pre-season training-camp added, running Sunday before tick-start (!) By popular demand, a new training-camp is now allowed pre-season. - FREE CREDITS PER SEASON INCREASED FROM 10 to 15. We are happy to announce this increase, and we hope you will all appriciate this. - Starting-credits increased from 3 to 15. This is to give new players a better feel for the game in their first season. - Improved search-capabilities when searching for players to buy! You can now specify a secondary attribute and the players nationality to narrow your search. - Different UI for Team Selection. You must now Save (or Cancel) the team setup when you have made a change. This one is important. Up until now, you have been able to drag one player at the time, and your lineup has been auto-saved upon each such operation. This has been found to be somewhat inefficient and load-creating during peak hours. From now on, you must make all your changes, all your substitutions, and then click a button to "save" your lineup. To help you remember that button, it will flash every time you make a change to the line-up. This also has the benefit of allowing us to create a "cancel-button". It may also be a shortcut to creating something called "saved line-ups" a little further down the line, but not quite yet. This will also help the simulator perform faster, which is an added bonus. Finally, it should also get rid of the strange "position-bug" where the player-list sometimes seem to be "messed up". Fixes - Checkbox rendering-fix for Internet Explorer (affecting various pages) - MLbot will no longer spam madly in the first league round. - Some headers have been added and altered in the registration emails to pass through hotmails junk filter more easily. - Various typos fixed, although some translations needs updating. - Tiny change on the top of the Team Selection screen to save some space. - Rendering-fix on Finances and Financial Summary - Optimization of the messages-page to help it load faster - Optimization of the forum pages to help them load faster - Several small rendering issues fixed (cross-platform issues) - Fixed potential problem with upgrades; It was extremely unlikely, but theoretically possible, to pay for the same upgrade twice. All fixed now though. - Forced fix of "bugged positions" if you use the old substitution boxes - I FINALLY managed to get rid of the black lines in team-selection under Internet Explorer. I have struggled night and day with this one, failing to find a method to make it look as it should under Internet Explorer. Finally, I have been able to find a nice little CSS-hack that makes it possible! It seems that, still, hard work, research and patience, has rewarded me! - A bunch of minor hardly-noticable display-fixes System changes - You may no longer play friendlies while the simulator is busy with the League-round. This means you can not player friendlies between 15:00 and approximately 15:15, and between 03:00 and 03:15. This is also important, and some players may feel this as inconvenient and impractical. There are three main reasons for doing this: - It is more fair to the teams in the lower divisions, as they have missed out on most Open challenges due to them still waiting for their match while others play their friendlies. - It has been unfair for the teams in lower divisions that their league-games have been delayed due to other teams playing friendlies. - It will allow the league-round to be simulated much faster, and with a much more stable simulation-time. Mobile version fixes - Ordering and cancelling a training camp will now update the finances correctly. - Accepting open friendlies now works as it should (100 open friendlies per season, not based on the number of friendlies played in total)) |
