So here we are then, for the first time split into 10 more-or-less national leagues. It has been no small task getting here, and we are very excited, and a little scared, how this will all turn out. We know this was the right thing to do in the long term, and more leagues will be created as we get more players from other countries, and so we will continue to expand. Right now, as you may or may not have seen, the old original International League is quite empty at the top, and all new leagues have only bot-teams in the top 2 divisions, so it is going to be a couple of seasons before we are back with all full top departments. Due to this, and me having some vacation coming my way, we will wait a few seasons before we start the "multi-national" events, like Champions League, Cup Winner Cups etc. This also makes it more fair for the different leagues. Updates! Even though the biggest job this season was the whole process of splitting us up, setting up the different leagues, we also managed to get in a few nice updates. Here is a rough list: GAME ADDONS AND CHANGES - New GUI / Interface on Team Training - Training-camps can now get their own training-setup, you no longer have to follow your setup from normal team-training - Translation fixes on player-info, active transfers and friendlies - Added new sponsor Norsk Tipping - Cup info now shows what league teams are playing in - New rankings on League champions and League Cup champions - Custom cups now require at least 4 players to run, otherwise it will wait until next week - Custom cups made much larger than the number of teams actually signed up for it, will now be reduced to the smallest possible size when it starts so it runs without the silly half-empty rounds first. - A number of tweaks in the match simulator -- Playing with just 1 attacker has not applied the right pressure on the single attacker. Now he will be more pressed when trying to score. -- The balance between playstyles and pressure have been "amplified". I.e. playing Continental against a DEFENDING pressure is less effective, as the defending team is more compact and harder to pass through. Use logic and your knowledge of football here, and you will do just fine. -- The balance between short and long passes has been adjusted slightly in comparison to your Playstyle. Playing Longball will now result in more long passes than before, and vice versa. This change does not affect MIXED playstyle at all, only Longball and Continental. -- A flaw was fixed in regards to throw-ins, that could cause one player to receive the throw but suddenly the ball went to another player, with no info in the match-report. - League Cup page now has a League selector to monitor other league-cups than your own GAME FIXES - Fixed various links to the Tables page to include the right LEAGUE-identifier - Fixed Department Forums multiple-leagues bug - Joining and Leaving custom cups now put the finances-info in the right round - Top scorer page should now work fine across multiple leagues, but awaiting league-selector - You may not rename your team to anything containing "-bot " - Fixed lag between match-simulation and position-update - Some languages have been updated to cover the new text: Norwegian, Swedish, French, Spanish, Dutch and Italian. Other languages will be updated this weekend. We hope to see the world of ManagerLeague develop into tight, close leagues, so we will all have to fight hard to get into the top.
