![]() Once again, it is time to look forward towards a new season, and also a little bit beyond. There are plans brewing and improvements coming that you should know about, although some details are yet to be finalized. From season 20 to season 21 The 20th season is steadily ticking towards its end (this Thursday morning) and as usual, this will mean the following schedule: Thursday 09:00 - The last training takes place and the game goes into "change-season-mode". At this time, you will not be able to access your team. At some point between Thursday night and Friday morning, the game is once again open, and you will see that we have switched to the next season. There are cups as usual this weekend. On Monday March 26th, Season 21 kicks off with training at 09.00 and the first match at 15:00, and you will find a complete schedule for the season by then. Improvements and changes As always, we have tried to make requested changes and improvements to keep making the game better. Thanks to active players, there is no lack of suggestions, although some are rejected. We are growing faster and faster these days, which also dictates some of the changes we do, as we need to make sure our admins and moderators have the tools they require to help out in an efficient matter. I hope these changes will aid us in our goal of becoming an even better game for us all to enjoy. With that said, I wish to share a glimpse of an important upcoming change in ManagerLeague, which is National Leagues. It has always been our intention of splitting up the big universal league we have today into more regional leagues, or countries if you wish. That said, there are many countries that do not have enough players yet to sustain their own league, and so we will probably make bigger regions for them to play in, like "South America", "Africa" and so on. Right now, Norway is certainly big enough to warrant a league for themselves, as is Sweden and Romania. By the time we are ready, so is probably United Kingdom as well, allthough we might see USA & Canada sharing one league. There is no point rushing at us with questions about this yet, because the road to National League is quite long, and will take a lot of time to implement. This will of course mean can benefit from International Cups (like Champions League / Cup-winner-cups etc), and some day even National Teams in a World Championship. It will also mean we will enhance the transfer-system to include a more international system, with emphasis on player origin etc. I can also reveal to you that there are other new and exciting things in the pipeline in regards to this, but I am not going to spill all the beans just yet. ![]() Again, there is no point hammering us with suggestions, ideas or questions about these issues, as we will not comment on something we do not have the details about ourselves. We have several great things ahead, but then there is also a consequence to be mentioned here: This will mean that we are making deep and profound improvements to the game that will prevent us from serving you a set of enhancements every season for the next couple of months. There is no way these things can fall into place in one month, and so you will have to wait a while for these (and more) improvements. I hope you are all half as excited as I am about these things to come, and that you will stick with us to find out how they turn out. Right now, you should all start thinking about the end of this season, and the season-change on Thursday, and what kind of fantastic youth-player you may have coming. Congratulations to Blackpool for running away with the title once again and good luck to both Vartdal FK and Sparta Rotterdam in the coming League Cup finals. Don't forget the HUGE free cup on Wednesday (starting 12:00) and the training-camp at 18:00. Cya on the other side (of the season-change!) Yours truly Spinner |
