 First of all, a big CONGRATZ to ddude, who has secured his first ever Championship this season. Well done, well played, and all that! And he has just been in the top division for 2 seasons!! That's a new record!
Krakraa did well too, securing the silver, not bad!
Sir Johnny, tsk tsk, you have to do better than that, you promised you'd win! 
Anyway....
Season 18 is ticking towards its rightful end.
Rounds 31, 32 and 33 are for playoffs, as usual. Then there are some cup-finals in rounds 34 and 35 for those playing them. The last training camp is also in round 35, so be sure to book one! Then its just friendlies and finishing transfers in rounds 36 and 37....
At that point, which is Thursday morning, it's season-change-time.
As you all know, I've had some time off as we got a baby, so there are no changes / updates to be concerned with.
However, we will need a lot more "downtime" this season.
Simply put, we are going to change the hardware, and move over to bigger and more powerful servers. This means the entire site will be offline for the weekend, and so the usual cups will not take place. Any cups created for this weekend, will be pushed to NEXT weekend. And I'm not going to "apologize" for the inconvenience, as we will all enjoy the new and better hardware 
There are some technical issues that I will have to deal with, but hopefully we will be able to perform a smooth move over to the new system. We aim to be back online some time on Sunday, and that's about all we know. |

It is krakra that bought all the old stars from fjt that should win so easy, and see how he did....barely managed to secure the 2nd spot...I will again try and give both ca2 and sirlance a hard fight in the coming season, but that will be extrenely tough. The new DB-server is a Quad CPU Dual Core (8 cores all in all) with 8 GBs of ram and a blinding-fast set of 5 SCSI-discs in RAID.
It should kick major butt
That said though, it'll take some time to get a lot of juice out of them, I guess I will spend two more season-changes on tweaking it and finding the right settings for the DB to be able to get as much Juice as I can. |
