Even though I have been mostly ill lately, some improvements and updates have made it into the game this season too. New frontpage You should have noticed this already, but the frontpage on www.managerleague.com has been altered quite a bit. You can now sign up or login without ever leaving the front-page. The descision to improve the GUI for the entire portal was taken a while back, and this front-page holds clues to how the new portal will look and work. Yes, there might be some problems with certain old browsers, so the old pages still work to get around this. But we will be seeing more and more AJAX-technology being used in the game as well, so if you have an old browser, well, upgrade it! If you do have problems, I'd like to hear about it in the BUGS-forum. Important note The new frontpage offers to remember your username and password using a cookie. Use this at your own risk, as anyone with acess to your computer can find your login-details just by looking at your cookies. If you wish to delete this remembered username and password, just uncheck the checkbox and hit the login-button, and the cookies are deleted. New countries Australia + New Zealand have been added as Nationalities. You can change your teams nationality under Preferences inside the game. Simulator fixes Penalties are now correctly counted in the statistics with Chances and On target. The problems that could occur when having more than 1 banned player in a line-up has been fixed. GUI On request, we have descided to "hide" your teams position in the league-table from the header. You can point your mouse over the Division / Department in the header to reveal it. On the same topic, the red bars showing your table-position-history, will no longer be displayed for the rounds where you have not read the match-report. Your position is marked as ? if you have such unread match-reports. The GENERAL page The Next Fixtures and Last Results on the General-screen is now a little different and easy to read. It also includes cup-games for the League Cup / Department Cup. The TACTICS page The Team-Tactics page has been simplified to avoid confusion. It also looks better and has some nice quotes on it. The STAFF page The STAFF-page has been brushed up with some nice football-quotes to make up for the short page. The FRIENDLY page The FRIENDLY-page has been brushed up with some icons in stead of some text. Also, your own OPEN challenge will now be visible to avoid confusion. No, you can not accept your own challenge and play against yourself. Sponsors New sponsors have been added, and some existing ones have been altered. Make sure you read the details on each sponsor before deciding! Bugfix on Individual training Fixed REST ALL WITH FITNESS < 95 to avoid proxy-cache Schedule change League Cup matches have been moved from 23:30 to 22:30 Various Some other minor fixes have gone in too, most of them too small to notice, fixing some wrong widths on certain elements and some XHTML standardisation. I hope these improvements will contribute to make ManagerLeague just that little bit better, as we strive for every season. Now if I can just stay healthy for a full month, more will come...
