Welcome to the 14th season of ManagerLeague.
It was a bit of a bigger job than usual to change seasons this time, due to some server-upgrades, but it is finally here. Read this carefully so you know whats new! Transfers: - Some work have gone into a couple of anti-cheating mechanisms when it comes to artificial bids and people trying to cheat with multiple teams. This is now a bit harder. - I have also, by request, added a way for you to set a "minimum bid" value with each player, so any bids lower than that will simply not be allowed, and the bidder will receeve a message stating the minimum bid value you have set, if any. - In addition, players can now actually refuse to join your club, if they are happy where they are. This is the beginning of a more sophisticated system for dealing with a players happiness and own morale, and the system will be expanded later. For now though, this is all you get to know. But don't contact support or report it as a bug if a player does not wish to move to your club, he has a good reason, whatever it is The Forum: The ingame forum is continously growing and the ML-Team has convinced me we could do with some more features. Some of them are: - A new forum frontpage which is slightly better than the last one - A more intuitive order fo the forums - Admins can now make threads STICKY for easy access. - Better admin-tools for dealing with the forums for us - Forum avatars can now be used, you will be able to upload your in your ingame preferences page - Forum-posters can now brag of their post-count / spam-count whatever you wish to call it - You can decide wether you wish to see avatars of course, one click turns them on or off. Custom Cups: You can now create cups for a specific department if you like, you are no longer forced to include 2 divisions. For example, you can make a cup for just 2nd div, or for all divs, or for divs 4, 5 and 6. Other things: - You can now watch more than 20 players on your Notes-screen - When sending a new message, your contact list is now sorted alphabetically - Various smaller bug-fixes have gone in - The speed of the simulator has been doubled (!) (which means an entire league-round is simulated in just under 30 minutes in stead of 64. - Your team is no longer deleted if you have -2.500.000 $ at the end of the season, you will now keep your team as long as you stay above -5.000.000 $ (thats MINUS 5 millions) - When uploading pictures for your blog-entries, a new features makes it easier to put them in, just use the Select-link you will see when you have uploaded it. - If you abondon your team for more than 60 days, you might lose it, so be warned! - Page-loading while the simulator is running has been optimised so it will feel a lot more smooth and fast between 15.00 and 15.30, as well as 03.00-03.30. Note: We do recommend waiting until xx:30 with friendlies, but for now it's your call. - A couple of typos have been corrected - Better integration between the mobile-interface and the game system (ok, you won't really notice this very much, but the servers will ) - The sponsor you pick is now displayed on every page, to tie it a bit tighter to your team. (And if you still manage to FORGET to pick a sponsor, well, don't blame me!) I also hope to present some more improvements during the season, but for now my lips are sealed while they are being worked on When does it start? Saturday - Sunday: Custom Cups for those who want to Monday, 09:00 : Season 14 starts with training, followed by League Round 1 at 15:00. From that point, its the normal schedule with trainings at 09.00 and 21:00, and league-matches at 03:00 and 15:00. Enjoy the season, and may the best managers prevail and promote! - Spinner |
